I'm a swap addict !

Yeah, I am, so what of it ! I score all kinds of cool, crafty stuff in swaps ! Like this freakin' awesome hoopla !

The hoopla I'm talking about in this instance is that completely fabulous beach scene with the needle felted background hoopla. You know the one, it's the one that just jumps out at you and screams "YOU KNOW YOU WANT ME"  It's ok, you can drool....I know you want one too ! 

A wonderful person on Craftster ( KittenWrangler) sent the Bright Beach Bathing Boxes hoopla to me in the last round of the Ongoing Wish Swap - I love it, I adore it, and it's all MINE !!

Embroidery Hoopla - Ship In A Bottle

So what's a girl to do when she wants to make an embroidery hoop for someone but doesn't know how to hand embroider ? Well we compensate, overcome, and use our little noggins to figure something out. I can not embroider by hand, have no idea how to do it, and quite honestly....I think my husband would leave me if I decided to learn. He just can't take another craft obsession LOL

So, I took some fabric, my embroidery machine and did it that way !! YAY ME ! I'm so innovative right ? ;)

Here is the final result. I'm pretty pleased with it, in fact I love it, and made one for my own hoopla wall which happens to be all nautical / sea creature themed.

The waves and clouds are done in glow in the dark thread so when the lights go out at night it will still show up ! I hope the person receiving this likes it as much as I do.
