What a productive weekend so far !

It's crappy, cold and rainy here in PA this weekend so I shut myself up in the craft room and have made a ton of progress on a plethora of projects :)

Fired up the kiln today for the first time in weeks and ooooooooooooooh such pretties are going to come out in the morning. Finished a new project today, something I had never made before, and did a few bags too :)

It's late now, so pics will be coming tomorrow but I can't wait to show everything to you. Oh and I finally finished the reverse applique tutorial too ! Go Me !!

So Sorry :(

I'm so sorry I've been such a crappy blog host lately. I try to keep up and post daily but this past week has really kicked my butt and I've been behind in everything. Including sleep !

Things should be back to normal soon and then I'll be back to posting on a regular basis :)

For now though here's a quick pic of a cute little shirt I just finished today. It's a size6, ruffled bottom, rolled hem edges and shirred neckline. I then embroidered a celtic horse design on the front :)

Oh yeah, the light threads in the embroidery design are glow in the dark :)

Cute Owl Applique :)

Here's another project for the OWS on Craftster, this should be hitting the mail tomorrow or Friday if I get the couple remaining items finished in time.

Yes, there are supposed to be some rough edges around the outside of the applique :) I thought it looked cute and gave the tee a little something extra :)

Last night & This Morning Projects :)

Posted by J. Barad Designs at 10:27 AM 0 comments
So I thought I was going to get massive crafting time last evening, but alas, it was not to be. The 3 oldest grandkids came to spend the night instead. I got some crafting done though, just not as much as I had hoped to get :)

Up first is a shirt I put together real quick last night for a personal swap I'm in. It's just your basic t'shirt pattern bought HERE. I opted to just put a rolled hem on the sleeves and then added a strip of blue ruffle along the bottom to make it just a bit more fun. Same fabric was used for the neck binding as well. Size 5 this one is. I also machine embroidered the horse on the front. I tried putting in a tag and put it in upside down...so I had to cut it out LOL

Then I whipped this bag up this morning for the OWS on Craftster. I sure hope the recipient likes it :) Basic bag pattern ( self drafted ) bag has 3 inner pockets and then instead of using a magnetic snap closure this time, I thought I'd live dangerously and put in a zipper ! GO ME ! Machine embroidered phoenix on the front of the bag :)

New Necklace...

Posted by J. Barad Designs at 5:47 PM 0 comments
I know, I've been slacking the last couple days. I have a good excuse though. I've had 2 babies ( toddlers really ) in the house and I've been swamped with work too !

I did manage to complete a new necklace today though :) I used cream colored seed beads and vintage buttons. I think it came out really nice :)

So behind !

I didn't get done what I wanted to get done ! But since I didn't get that done, I did something else :)

Make sense huh ? LOL My plans for today were to do a bunch of photos for my website, but my camera is being moody so that didn't happen and since the camera is acting up and the video cam battery is dead...the tutorial didn't happen either.

I know, you're probably wondering what the heck I DID do ! Well let me tell ya, I did a lot :) I drafted a new t'shirt pattern for the youngest grandkids, I drafted a roll up purse organizer pattern, and I drafted a new shoulder bag pattern. GO ME !!

What ? Will you ever see them sewn to completion ? Perhaps LOL I'm hoping to have a shirt done tonight and then tomorrow I'll play with the other two.
